Call for Papers
Welcome!
You are invited to submit a paper to the IYNC2012 Conference !
The International Youth Nuclear Congress (IYNC) is proud to announce that the 7th edition of its biannual conference will be organised together with North American Young Generation Network (NA-YGN) in Charlotte (US), from August 5 to 11, 2012. Please find more information about the conference on our first announcement flyer.
Download our first announcement flyer.
Via this webpage the organising committee invites you to send in a summary for an oral presentation in one of the technical tracks below. IYNC provides an opportunity for the nuclear young generation around the world to present any work new, significant or relevant to the nuclear industry in an international forum. For this reason sessions are primarily targeted to members of this young community and the presenting author should not have reached the age of 36.
Based on your 2 page summary, you may be invited to give an oral presentation during a technical session or you may be invited to present a poster for the poster session. Note that this year the submission process has changed and no abstracts are required. Instead, we request participants to directly submit 2-page summaries of their work following the provided template. This summary will act as a stand-alone entity and will be published in the book of summaries. Additionally, those summaries describing work with archival value will be invited to submit a full paper for peer-review and possible publication in the conference journal - Energy Conversion and Management.

The Management of Your Contribution
New Concept ! (August 30, 2011)
For this edition of the IYNC2012 conference, no abstracts will be asked for your oral presentation for the technical tracks. In contrary you are invited to send in a 2 page summary based on the guidelines below. After acceptance, you will be invited to give an oral presentation or present a poster during the conference. Later on, the authors of a selected number of summaries will be invited to send in a full paper to the conference journal for publication. The conference journal will be "Energy Conversion and Management".
The technical track management team (TTMT) may shift submissions from one track to another, as they deem appropriate. If you think your contribution does not suit to any of the proposed track, please do not hesitate it to submit via the most suitable track. The track list can be adapted according to the incoming contributions. The Technical Track Management Team (TTMT) will review the summaries for relevance to the conference scope, content, and originality to decide whether a submission is presented orally or as a poster. Authors will then be notified of the acceptance, acceptance with revisions, or rejection of their contributions. IYNC will publish all accepted contributions (regardless of the presentation format) in the proceedings, providing a searchable record of the meeting. All attendees will receive a copy of the proceedings once it is published.
Additionally, based on the quality and archival value of the summaries, some authors will be given the option to submit a full paper from their contribution for peer-review and possible publication in a special edition of the conference journal.
A final deadline extension has been made from to March 15, 2012 in order to attact as much as possible young professionals to attend IYNC2012. Please do not hesitate to send in a summary! Special effort is ongoing with regard to student housing and budget-friendly accommodation.
Updated Deadlines- March 14th, 2012: Summary Submission.
- May 14th, 2012 : Latest notification of summary acceptance.
